but it is a law there (AFAIK) that the engine must be replaced at 30k (or maybe 60k, either way). And replacing the engine is just a way out of having to replace the car, which is what I think the government there prefers. I'm pretty sure it's for pollution purposes, but I don't know if the salt contributes to that.They sell them in the US not because of a different climate, but because they know anybody here will buy a JDM engine. (why Americans are like that, I don't know, considering the only advantage they have is being cheaper, albeit being beaten to shit in those 30k-60k miles because they know they have to replace it anyway).
